Liquid Sand

Again posting from my phone but I gotta post when I have time which is right now but I don't have my laptop. Anyways, I just told you about the matte top coat and now I have to tell you about liquid sand. A while ago I did that relief society thing I told you about and the relief society gave me some OPI nail polish which is my favorite! Even better is that it was something brand new that I hadn't tried before. I have seen it around but hadn't tried it til now. My sister also did the relief society thing so they gave her one to say thanks too. After that of course I had to buy 3 more colors!

Okay now I have to tell you what it is. It's textured nail polish. It really feels like sand on your finger nails. It looks like glitter toes. It says you can put a base coat on with it but I did not like it with the base coat. It seemed to work better without. It's also great because it only takes two coats and you don't have to put a top coat on and it dries really fast. It's so fun. If you want some my sister also sells it now too. Here are some pictures!
This gold is what the relief society gave me. So pretty!

This is the color my sister got!

And these are the other ones I had to buy. I had to get the blue and red for the 4th of July. The red one is awesome because it actually has stars in it! And then there is the purple. I love purple!

Here is the purple on. It looks better in person! It's what I have on right now!

Mattes a Wrap

Okay so I am posting from my phone so it won't be super exciting but I have to share my new favorite thing! I don't know if you have seen on Pinterest the new matte nail polish but it looks so pretty. Me and my sister have been keeping an eye open for it whenever we go to the beauty supply but we haven't seen any. This last time we went we found something even better though! We found top coat that makes anything look matte! That way you can have tons of Different colors! It's so cool and my sister sales it if you want some! Here are some pictures.

Plain Jane

First of all I have to say that Plain Jane is not a bad thing at all! Some of you may not want to wear stripes with floral or upside down fish but still be cute and trendy. Since anything goes these days simple outfits are in too! Plus with this hot summer weather simple and less layering is probably a good thing:) My simple outfits are still not super simple but hopefully they will at least give you an idea of what I am talking about.
First off for that simple outfit you have to have some cute shoes. A pair of Vans or Toms are a good choice if you are a busy mom. I love these Vans I got and they are super comfy too. Obviously you can get a more neutral color too depending on what you like.

Here is my some what simple outfit. Switch out the striped skirt for a plain one and take off the cardigan and you have a cute "Plain Jane" outfit.

Once again you see my Vans with some cute cropped jeans. Switch the striped shirt out for a white tee and once again you have a cute "Plain Jane" outfit. There is nothing cuter then a mom with a cute kid in a cute pair of dark skinnys a white t-shirt and some cute colored Vans or Toms.
Here is a good example of one of those cute moms in a simple outfit. Way cute with the little detailing on the shoulder.

Nailed it! Part 2

Okay I know I have already talked about this before but I didn't have a lot of pictures because you are supposed to take off the the tape quick so I am showing you some pictures in case you did not get what I was saying when I was showing you how to make stripes.
I have cut a bunch of pieces of tape so that I have room for mess ups
Then I just stick the tape on where I want. I make sure there are no bubbles and make sure the ends are pressed down so that polish doesn't seep through. Remember not to stick tape on until the polish has dried for a few hours or over night!

Then you just paint. Obviously mine never look great at first. Remember its a process!

Remember to take the tape off right after. If not it doesn't work out very well.
Later that day after I clean them up a bit:)
There you have it! It takes practice, but its worth it and if you ever need help paint just paint your base color and then I can come help you do the stripes when you are ready as long as you live near by of course.

Help! I'm Stuck!

Are you stuck in a rut with your clothes? Wearing the same outfits all the time? Feel like you have no clothes?

I can help you with that! I am the same way. Sometimes its just easy to wear the same thing because you know it works and you like it. This may be weird but sometimes I will wear the same outfit I wore to church to work/class the next day because its just easy.

I also feel like I have no clothes sometimes. I have a lot of clothes but a lot of them don't fit me right now:(

Here is what I do when I am feeling like I have nothing to wear:

The first thing I do is go through my closet and find something or a few things I have not worn in a while. Go though everything. Sometimes a cute shirt or skirt is hiding in there that you have forgotten about.

Once I have found something(s) I set them out where I can see them often. This helps me start thinking about what I could pair them with.

Pick one thing and create an outfit around it. This can be anything from a skirt to a pair of shoes to a piece of jewelry. It can be so fun!

I once had a coworker ask me if I ever wear the same outfit twice and wondered how I have so many clothes but really I am just mixing and matching.

Sometimes it may take a while to decide what you want to do with a certain piece of clothing but that is okay. I have had that grey maxi dress sitting out for a few weeks now because I haven't decided what I want to do with it.

Focused my outfit around a headband a little while ago

Turned out pretty cute.
If you feel like you don't have anything to wear go buy something new. I am not saying to go spend tons of money but go buy a cute headband from target or a scarf from just about anywhere. These things help change up your wardrobe.

I am always will to help too. I love to come up with random outfits:)

Enjoy!

Go Fish. . .

See the reindeer? One of my favorites from Bella Ella Curvy!

Animals! I love animals and the great thing is that having animals on your clothes is in. Don't be afraid! Right now you can do anything, its kinda fun. I have seen cute shirts with cats, dogs, giraffes, and lots more on them. Here are some animals from my closet!
This shirt is my favorite too and is also from Bella Ella Curvy. Every time I wear it I get compliments but I also have questions about why the fishes are upside down. I have no idea why but it works for me:)
Closer view for you

Birds! Birds are very in right now too. This shirt/dress is from H&M and is cute with everything.

Another view
and another

And one more. I wanted you guys to see that this shirt is not modest by itself because the top part is a see through material but I can either wear something under it or a cardigan over it (in this I am wearing my awesome sweater from Nordstrom in case you were wondering because you love it as much as I do!)

Kitty necklace from Target

More birds. I love the goofy looking owls.

Remember to be brave when you are picking out clothes but also comfortable. If you wont wear it don't buy it! Just because it is in style doesn't mean you have to wear it or even like it.

Enjoy!
